They helped, but couldn't stop smurfing and multi-account abuse. That's why we developed a radical solution: free optional ID verification — an unmatched level of security to build a more trusted community.

Data storage
Your encrypted verification information is stored in Daon's European data centers. FACEIT only stores confirmation that you've been verified — none of your identity data is stored on FACEIT.
What's next
Verification requirements
In the future, verification status will be required to access certain competitions and parts of the FACEIT experience.
For example, players participating in official competitions such as open qualifiers may need to verify their account to compete.
Verification tags
For some accounts, verification will be introduced to maintain access to FACEIT.
This new level of verification will create a much higher barrier to entry, mitigating malicious behavior — especially regarding boosting services and black markets.
